In this section, we provide you with the text of rules under which you can carry on an arbitration at SIAC.
The SIAC Rules (3rd Edition) are the primary rules of arbitration at the SIAC and is effective on 1 July 2007. They supersede the SIAC Rules (2nd Edition, 22 October 1997) and repeal the Domestic Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (2nd Edition, 1 September 2002). The SIAC Rules (3rd Edition) are also available in Chinese and German.
Parties can also adopt the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules 1976 for the conduct of arbitration at SIAC. While these Rules are essentially designed for the ad hoc form of arbitration, parties can, with special provision, enjoy the benefit of institutional administration of the arbitration from SIAC. The Guide to UNCITRAL Rules Arbitration provides a fuller explanation of how this can be achieved.
The Singapore Bunker Claims Procedure was jointly formulated by SIAC, the Singapore Shipping Association and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. It is designed for the resolution through arbitration of disputes relating to the supply of bunkers.
The SIAC SGX-DT Arbitration Rules (1st Edition, 1 July 2005) and the SIAC SGX-DC Arbitration Rules (1st Edition, 27 March 2006) are designed for the conduct of expedited arbitration for disputes arising from derivative trading and derivative clearing respectively. |
