The Construction Industry Arbitration Council of India (CIAC) in association with UNCITRAL and supported by the SIAC will be organising an international conference titled “Institutional Arbitration in Infrastructure & Construction” to be held from 16-18 October 2008 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The conference will discuss 50 years of the New York Convention, the interplay between the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration (MAL) and national arbitration laws and the Vienna Sales Convention. Also on the discussion table would be issues of topical interest to the construction and infrastructure sector in India such as the ills plaguing the dispute resolution scene in the sector.
