Professor Michael Pryles is the Chairman and a Director of the SIAC's Board of Directors.
Professor Pryles is one of the leading arbitrators in the Asia/Pacific Region. A recent survey by Cross-border Quarterly (July-September 2006) ranked him in the top 20 arbitration specialists in the world. He has sat as an arbitrator in some 200 cases in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia.
Professor Pryles has experience of both ad hoc and institutional commercial arbitrations under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA), Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) and Swiss rules, and investor-state arbitrations under the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) rules, the ICSID Additional Facility Rules and the UNCITRAL Rules (Bilateral Investment Treaties or BITs, North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA and state investor protection laws).

Mr Sundaresh Menon SC is the Deputy Chairman and a Director of the SIAC's Board of Directors.
Mr Menon is the Senior Partner of Rajah & Tann. He is admitted to the Bar in Singapore and in the State of New York. Mr Menon graduated with First Class Honours from the National University of Singapore and later took a Masters degree from Harvard Law School where he again achieved academic distinction. He has been practising in the field of commercial arbitration and litigation for 20 years.
Mr Menon is recognised by a number of legal journals as being one of Singapore’s and Asia’s leading lawyers in the fields of commercial litigation and arbitration and in construction law. The 2004/2005 edition of the Asia Pacific Legal 500 described Mr Menon as “unquestionably Singapore’s leading arbitrator” while the 2006 edition of the Chambers Global Guide named him among the leading international arbitration practitioners in the world.

Mr Cavinder Bull SC graduated with First Class Honours in law from Oxford University in 1992. He was called to the Bar of England & Wales the following year, placing fourth in the Bar examinations. He returned to Singapore and passed the Singapore Bar exams, winning the prize for top candidates. Mr Bull worked for the Chief Justice of Singapore as a Justices’ Law Clerk before joining Drew & Napier in 1994 as a litigation associate.
In 1995, Mr Bull was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship and left for Harvard Law School where he received an LL.M. He passed the New York Bar exams and was admitted to practice in New York. Mr Bull practised as a litigation associate with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York until late 1997 when he returned to Singapore and Drew & Napier. Mr Bull was made a partner of Drew & Napier in 1998 and a Director of Drew & Napier LLC in May 2002.

Mr Pierre-Yves Gunter is a partner of the international arbitration group at Python & Peter. He has been acting since 1991 in the field of international and domestic commercial arbitration.
Before joining Python & Peter, Mr Gunter worked with the firm Lalive & Partners under the supervision of Professor Pierre Lalive and as a foreign associate for two years in London and Paris with the International Arbitration Group of Clifford Chance under the supervision of John Beechey.
Mr Gunter was selected in a global peer survey as one of "45 Leading Arbitrators under 45" (2006). He graduated in 1987 from the Law School of Neuchâtel University ("summa cum laudae") and holds a LL.M (91') from Harvard Law School.

Mr David W. Rivkin is a litigation partner in the New York and London offices of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. He has broad experience in the areas of international litigation and arbitration. He has handled international arbitrations throughout the world and before virtually every major arbitration institution, including the ICC, American Arbitration Association (AAA), LCIA, ICSID, Inter-American Commercial Arbitration Commission (IACAC) and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Subjects of these arbitrations have included long-term energy concessions, investment treaties, joint venture agreements, insurance coverage, construction contracts, distribution agreements and intellectual property, among others. Mr Rivkin also represents European, Latin American and Asian companies in litigation in the United States involving disputes over the enforcement of arbitral awards and arbitration agreements, as well as other transnational disputes.

Mr Savage is a partner of Shearman & Sterling. He has represented governments, corporations and high net worth individuals in over 60 international arbitrations, both institutional and ad hoc, including many construction and investment treaty disputes. These arbitrations have had a variety of applicable laws, venues and subject-matters. His practice focuses on the representation of Asian clients in arbitrations worldwide, and clients from outside Asia in arbitrations taking place in Asia. In addition to his work as counsel, Mr Savage has been appointed as chairman, sole arbitrator and co-arbitrator in ICC, SIAC and ad hoc arbitrations.

Ms Judith Gill specialises in international commercial arbitration, both institutional and ad hoc, under LCIA, ICSID and AAA Rules. She also sits as an arbitrator. Ms Gill is qualified as a Solicitor Advocate and frequently appears in arbitration proceedings. Her practice covers a broad range of subjects including insurance, joint ventures, distributorships and many other commercial dealings. Ms Gill is a Director of the LCIA, member of the LCIA Court and member of the ICC UK Arbitration Group. Joint author of the leading textbook "Russell on Arbitration", she has published widely.

Mrs Pallavi S. Shroff is the Lead Litigation and Competition Law Partner at Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi. For more than 26 years she has been practising law and advising high-profile clients on contentious matters relating to litigation and arbitration. Her diverse experience in successful representation, including individuals and corporate clients, in India has earned her a reputation for competitive and professional integrity amongst her peers.
In course of her legal career, Mrs Shroff has been recognised by international publications like Asia Legal 500 and PLC for her “leading practice in dispute resolution and litigation”. She has also been rated by the Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitrators, 2004 as one of three leading practitioners involved with arbitration. The Chambers Asia guide for 2008 describes her as “Maestro”.

Mr Byung-Chol Yoon is an attorney of Kim & Chang and head of the firm's International Arbitration Practice Group.
Mr Yoon is also an arbitrator of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB), Executive Director of the Korean Council for International Arbitration, Director of the Korean Association of Arbitration Studies and has taught at Seoul National University College of Law as an adjunct professor. Mr Yoon has represented the firm’s clients in more than 20 arbitrations in various jurisdictions in Asia, Europe and the United States, and under the rules of all major international arbitral institutions including the ICC, LCIA, AAA, SIAC, Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA) and the KCAB. In addition to his active practice, Mr Yoon has been appointed as chair and co-arbitrator in several domestic and international arbitration proceedings in Korea.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr Yoon served as a judge in the Seoul South District Court and Seoul Criminal District Court. Mr Yoon is a member of the Korean Bar Association and the New York Bar Association.
