SIAC Confidential Feedback Forms
SIAC greatly values feedback from its users (parties, counsels, arbitrators) about the quality and efficiency of SIAC arbitration. The SIAC Court of Arbitration proposes therefore to introduce a survey process whereby users will be given the option, if they so desire, to provide confidential feedback on SIAC arbitrators and administrative services by completing and returning to SIAC, the following three types of Forms: Confidential Feedback Form for Parties (Sole Arbitrator), Confidential Feedback Form for Parties (Three Arbitrators), and Confidential Feedback Form for Arbitrators.
Each Form is divided into three parts as follows:
· Part I of the Form relates to the services provided by the SIAC, including the arbitral appointments and challenge decisions of the SIAC Court of Arbitration and the case administration of the SIAC Secretariat.
· Part II of the Form relates to the performance of the sole/three arbitrators hearing the case. (In the case of the Form for Arbitrators, Part II of the Form relates to the performance of fellow arbitrators, if applicable.)
· Part III of the Form relates to the facilities used in connection with the SIAC arbitration.
We hope that this feedback will help us to continue to meet the highest standards of excellence that parties have come to expect, and to further improve the quality and efficiency of SIAC-administered arbitrations.
Any information shared by users with SIAC will be treated with the strictest confidence. This confidentiality will cover the fact of users’ participation in this feedback process, and the substance and content of any views that users choose to express in the Forms. The Forms will be handled only by a designated team at SIAC, and all Forms will be deleted after the information has been entered into the SIAC system. SIAC may use the collected information in an anonymised fashion (i.e. without identifying or disclosing any names, case details or identifying factors) but only in limited circumstances, such as for internal purposes and statistical analysis, including in selected publications.
Each Form should take no more than ten minutes to complete.
SIAC invites interested parties to provide views and feedback on the proposed Forms. The consultation period is from 24 July 2015 to 21 August 2015. As noted above, users and others can view or download the draft Forms here. The feedback may be sent in electronic or hard copy form to:
